​Children on the Edge is UK based organisation that makes a difference for thousands of marginalised children, living on the edge of their societies around the world. We go to hostile places to reach those children who are overlooked by larger agencies and the international media. Over 30 years we have become experts in creating colourful, child-friendly, safe spaces where children can learn, recover from trauma, play and flourish. We currently support over 10,000 children by working respectfully with well-run and knowledgeable local partner organisations; empowering local communities to take ownership of programmes. ​

​​Children on the Edge have been working with Bangladeshi organisation Mukti Cox’s Bazar since November 2009, providing effective, community-led education for refugee and slum dwelling children. Mukti are one of the most experienced and well established organisations in the area with strong connections with both refugee and host communities.
